Have yet to begin reading it but did read the review of it in the Weekend Australian. The guy who reviewed it gave it a luke warm review because of its violent and disturbing content. He said that he found it way too dark for the first 300 pages.
I remember discussing the idea of putting your reader and character through too much in my writing workshop. At 5:42am I’m too tired to blog my thoughts on this as I’m trying to get back to sleep. I have found that if I think too much between breast feeds, I find it impossible to go back to sleep.
